The Saskatoon Diamondbacks got the better of the East Central 18UAAA Red Sox last night as they fell 11-8.
After an error gave the Red Sox the lead in the opening inning, the Diamondbacks roared back with 5 runs on four hits in the bottom of the second. Dylan Pura led the D-Backs in the rally with a single to bring in a pair.
The Red Sox didn't flinch regaining the lead with six runs on 4 hits to make it 7-5, two of those coming on a Jarret Rude single.
More drama in the bottom of the fifth when D-Back's Casey Rauckman sacrificed for a pair to set up a single RBI of the bat of Aidan Maren to give the Saskatoon Squad a one run margin.
Taylor Coleman came in relief after Pryor Dyck started for the Sox. The Red Sox head to the Selects Tournament this weekend in Estevan.
