Rob Carnie - Community cleanup, it was a success.
Maryse Carmichael - It was a success! We had 167 people show up for the cleanup and we collected 1.2 tonnes of waste. So, it makes a big difference.
We will have another community cleanup in September between now and then. I encourage everyone to keep our city looking as beautiful as we can, and let's put the garbage in the trash, not on ground.
Rob - Speaking of cleaning up, Free Yard Waste Weekend is coming up, this weekend at the city landfill.
Maryse - Another opportunity for our residents to bring some of the unwanted items to our city landfill. So, May 17th to 19th the city is waiving the $14 tipping fee for organic waste. So, if you have branches, grass clippings, you can go ahead and bring that to our city landfill.
Rob - And a reminder, it's got to be tarped.
Maryse - It has to be tarped. We don't want things to fly off, especially when you're crossing the highway on the way to the landfill.
