The coordinator noted that roadblocks are still in effect, and only permanent residents are allowed to access the area of south Wendigo Road within the green zone. Seasonal residents and visitors are not permitted to enter the green zone at this time.

Despite recent rainfall and cooler temperatures, the fire remains active in several areas within the red zone, necessitating the continued evacuation order. "We appreciate the impact that these decisions have on our residents, but we must continue to make decisions that provide the highest level of safety," said the Emergency Coordinator.

The Manitoba RCMP deployed additional resources to Lac du Bonnet on Tuesday to assist with evacuations and maintain security in evacuated areas.

According to Staff Sergeant Cory Meyers, "We also want to make it very clear that we have officers actively patrolling evacuated areas and that we will not tolerate any criminal activity."

The following reminder was also posted to the Lac du Bonnet Emergency Management Facebook page. "Drones are not permitted in the evacuation area. The flying of drones in an area where water bombers are working is extremely irresponsible and dangerous for the firefighters who are attempting to stop the spread of the fire. Anyone caught flying a drone in the evacuation area will be referred to the RCMP for charges."

The coordinator added, "Our fire crews are working hard to bring the situation to a conclusion and we ask for your continued patience."
