A police incident in the Osborne Park area of southwest Airdrie ended late Monday with one individual taken into custody.

Mounties said the suspect "has been arrested without use of lethal force and only minor injuries were sustained from the deployment of a police dog."
Police had issued a public warning just before 10 p.m., advising of a heavy police presence and asking residents to avoid the area.
"Those within sight of the incident are asked to remain in their homes," RCMP said in a release. "The public is asked to please avoid posting any pictures or police movements to social media until after the incident has been resolved."
No further details were available at the time of publication. RCMP said an update is anticipated once more information becomes available.
