The Kindersley Jr. Klippers pipeline to the University of Augustana pumped out another future Viking last week, as the team shared last week that BC native and two-year Klipper Zak Anderson will be continuing his hockey career at the post-secondary level next season.
Klippers head coach and GM Clayton Jardine had these kind words for Anderson, who was a key part of the Klippers offensive attack in 99 career combined regular season and playoff games.
“The organization is happy for Zak and his family on his commitment. When I think of Zak and his time with us, it always comes back to his timely goal scoring. He was someone we could count on to deliver in crucial moments of a game or season. I look forward to following his career in Camrose.”
Anderson put up a balanced effort in 2024-25 with 22 goals and 22 assists in 54 games. He also had three points in the Klippers five game playoff series loss against Melfort.
Anderson was the latest Klipper to announce intent to play at the next level. Anderson joins Klippers teammate Cody Jaman in Camrose, and other former teammates Shayne Tibbles, Mason Bueckert, and Odin George at the ACAC level. Other Klippers commits this year included captains Ethan Hilbig and Kyler Smith at the USPORTS level.
"The Klippers are incredibly proud of all these individuals and their decision to continue their hockey journeys."
With rosters set to unfreeze soon with the Centennial Cup over and done with, the next date circled on the Klippers calendar will be the SJHL Draft coming up in June.
