Miscellaneous mishaps at west Portage area parking lots

The west end of Portage area has seen three rather unusual mishaps in the past few days in parking lots.

Today, (Wednesday), an SUV was leaking gasoline due to an unknown puncture in a fuel line or tank, and the Portage fire department dispatched a truck with crew who proceeded to plug the leak.

The day before, Tuesday, saw an accident occur near the Mark's Work Wareheouse location parking lot. Air bags deployed in the mini van what appeared to be a t-bone colllision between two vehicles.

The previous Friday saw the Walmart centre emptied of several patrons as a firetruck arrived at what reportedly turned out to be a false alarm, lending some curious attention to the scene.

No official reports were issued.
