Excitement is building over the second annual Living Skies Music Festival, hitting Humboldt for a pair of thrilling days in June.

The Living Skies Music Festival is set to return to Humboldt this summer, promising a bigger and more inclusive experience for music fans of all ages. Now in its second year, the festival will expand to a two-day format and take place in conjunction with the city’s annual Summer Sizzler, offering a combination of live music, family entertainment, and community-driven initiatives.

“This year we’re going bigger and better,” said Terrell Sterner, organizer of the Living Skies Music Festival. “We’ve extended the event to two days—a rock day and a country day—and we want to bring the whole community together for it.”

The festival will be held on June 28 and 29, with each day featuring a distinct musical focus. Rock acts will take the stage on Saturday, headlined by Big Wreck, with performances from Wide Mouth Mason, Captain Tractor, and Saskatchewan-based talent including The Radiant, Blu Beach Band, and East Side of 2nd. On Sunday, the stage will host a country lineup led by Jade Eagleson and Aaron Goodvin, along with performances from the Johner Brothers, Brayden King, Bree Taylor, and Adam Johnson.

One of the key themes of the festival is accessibility and family friendliness.

“It’s all ages, and that’s something unique about this event,” Sterner explained. “We’re bringing in big-name bands but creating a space where families can experience it together. You don’t always get to bring your kids to a show like this.”

The family-friendly atmosphere is reinforced by activities running alongside the music, thanks to the festival’s partnership with the Summer Sizzler. Attractions include a midway, a kid zone with bouncy castles and face painting, and even a Comic Con—providing options for attendees of all interests and ages.

Tickets for the event are currently on sale, with advance pricing available. Using the promo code Bolt FM at checkout, attendees can save up to $50 per ticket until June 8.

Beyond the entertainment, the Living Skies Music Festival is also making a community impact through charitable initiatives.

“We’re doing a massive food bank drive, donating over $40,000 worth of VIP and platinum tickets and sponsorship recognition,” said Sterner. These premium tickets, typically reserved for sponsors, will now be available through the food drive promotion. More details are available at livingskiesmusicfestival.com

In addition to supporting local food banks, the festival will donate proceeds from its 50/50 draws—one day benefiting the ALS Society, the other supporting STARS air ambulance. Sterner also announced an upcoming fundraising opportunity for local sports teams and community organizations to sell tickets and raise money for their causes. Details on how to participate will be posted on the festival’s website and social media pages under the Community and Promotions tab.

With a diverse lineup, community partnerships, and a focus on inclusivity, Sterner says this year’s event is poised to surpass expectations.

“Everyone that came out last year had their minds blown,” he said. “It’s a massive production, and we’re excited to bring it back—only bigger and better.”
