There were a number of games for Weyburn lacrosse teams in the past week, with nearly every age group taking to the floor, whether at home or on the road.  

U11 Weyburn Credit Union Thrashers 

The U11 Thrashers played just one game over the past week, although their game was before the long weekend. On May 15th, they entertained Regina Chaos Blue at Crescent Point Place. The Thrashers would come away with a 10-6 win thanks to four goals each from Ryder Moon and Bennet Baumgartner. Also scoring for the Thrashers in the win were Lucas Lieppi and Reese Kaip.  

The next game for the U11 Weyburn Credit Union Thrashers is tonight, when they host Regina Chaos Green at Crescent Point Place. 

U13 Weyburn Security Thrashers 

The U13 Weyburn Security Thrashers played three games over the past seven days. The first was last Thursday when they played host to Regina Chaos Blue at Crescent Point Place. The visitors would score four goals in the third period to come away with an 11-8 win. The Thrashers were led by Simon Wawro in the game, as he finished with four goals. Bree Tuchscherer, Roman Quigley, Judd Vennard, and Coy Svedhal also scored in the loss. 

The Thrashers would then host Regina Chaos Grey this past Tuesday. The Thrashers would score three goals in the third period, but weren’t able to finish the rally, falling 6-5. Simon Wawro scored twice, with James Watson, Felix Wawro, and Roman Quigley scoring.  

The week of action for the U13 Weyburun Security Thrashers closed out last night, as they were in Moose Jaw to face the Mustangs. Weyburn would score five goals in the third period en route to a 9-4 victory. Simon Wawro had three goals, and Felix Wawro two. Cody Wig, Judd Vennard, Conner Pocha, and Coy Svedahl all tallied in the win.  

The next game for the U13 Weyburn Security Thrashers will be next Tuesday, when they visit Regina Chaos Blue. 

U13 Young’s Equipment Thrashers 

There was just one game in the last seven days for the Young’s Equipment Thrashers, as they were in Regina to face Chaos Blue on Tuesday. Regina would take an early lead and hold on for an 8-5 victory. 

Ben Cote had two goals for Weyburn, as did Cooper Dammann. The other goal was scored by Cohen Baumgartner. 

The next game for the U13 Young’s Equipment Thrashers will be on Tuesday, when they host Regina Chaos Grey at Crescent Point Place. 

U15 Young Fellow Thrashers 

The U15 Thrashers were at home for the first time this month on Wednesday, when they took on the Moose Jaw Mustangs at Crescent Point Place last night. The Mustangs would find a way to escape Weyburn with a point, as a late goal resulted in a 4-4 draw. 

Julie Labrecque scored twice for Weyburn, with Maci Patterson and Hunter Moon also scoring. 

The next game for the Thrashers will be on next Wednesday, when they host Regina Chaos Blue at Crescent Point Place.
