A local curler was recently recognized amidst a group of international talent.

Kerrobert's Josh Heidt won the Curling Central 2024-25 season award for Men's Most Improved Player of the Year. It's in the Developmental Awards category, and Heidt beat out fellow nominees Dallas Burgess of Manitoba, Philipp Hösli of Switzerland, Lukáš Klípa of Czechia, and Marc Muskatewitz of Germany.

Competing on many different stages, one of them this past year saw Heidt in play with Team Kalthoff at the SaskTel Tankard in Kindersley. From just up the road in Kerrobert Heidt was no doubt a fan favourite and helped add even more excitement to the week of action.
