The Royal Canadian Legion Strathmore-Branch #10 has launched its first-ever website.
Earlier this month legion staff announced that they have created their own web page separate from the Royal Canadian Legion's general site.
"There wasn't a lot on that site that dealt directly with this branch, so we decided we wanted our own identity," said public relations chair Jennifer Franssen.
The site offers information specific to veterans, posts about youth contests and community events, and interesting facts about the history of the Strathmore RCMP.
"We're trying to share some of the pictures from the events," added Franssen. "We have a blog area, and we have a secure area for information pertaining to our actual members."
Franssen said that residents can use the page to keep up to date on local events, such as the Legion's 100-year anniversary.
