The Saskatchewan Government, in concert with the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the Saskatchewan Healthcare Recruitment Agency, is making another pitch for doctors to come to Saskatchewan. “Saskatchewan is Calling” is the latest slogan, and it’s designed to show why the province holds distinct advantages for medical practitioners.

"We want to spread the word amongst physicians from Canada and abroad that Saskatchewan is a great place to put down roots, grow a fulfilling career and enjoy an excellent quality of life in one of our welcoming communities," Health Minister Jeremy Cockrill said. "We have heard from many of our physicians, including those featured in this campaign, that Saskatchewan has what it takes to thrive. I encourage everyone to watch and share these inspirational stories."

Using physicians from North Battleford, Saskatoon and Swift Current, the campaign banks on professional and personal benefits to be had. It wants to attract doctors on the basis of competitive wages, lower costs of living, a team-based approach, and opportunities for career growth.

The full media blitz uses visual marketing like billboards, digital media, and widespread targeting including in the United States. The hope is that the visual storytelling approach will better convey the ideals of a secure, stable and supportive environment in professional practice.
