Track and Field sectionals took place Monday in Rosetown for the west side of the West Central District Athletic Association.

It was a postponed day after sectionals were rained out for west athletes in Rosetown last week, after east athletes participated in their sectionals in Outlook Wednesday, May 21. The west consists of Marengo, Kindersley, Rosetown, Biggar Central School 2000, Eston, Eatonia, NWCS (Plenty), St. Gabriel’s (Biggar), Kyle, and Elizabeth Middle School out Kindersley). The east is made up of Beechy, Dinsmore, Kenaston, LCBI (Outlook), Outlook High School, Davidson, Elrose, Loreburn, and Lucky Lake.

(Results may not be available for west athletes)

The top eight finishers at sectionals moved on to the district meet. West athletes who earned the right to move on in Rosetown will join qualifiers from the east this weekend in Saskatoon. All the action is taking place at the Gordie Howe Sports complex, as local athletes compete for a spot at provincials in Moose Jaw next weekend.

District teams are allowed to enter a maximum of two competitors per event, and there is no limit on team size. Athletes can be entered into a maximum of four events, plus relays at the provincial meet according to the SHSAA rulebook.
