The suspicious package has been neutralized, and Main Street is now open to traffic. 

Smaller areas maybe cordoned off as the investigation continues. 

Canora RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Explosive Disposal Unit, Forensic Identification Services and Saskatoon Provincial General Investigation Section.

Canora RCMP are investigating a suspicious package within the community.  

The package was located in the 300 block of Main Street.  

Schools and daycares in the general area have enacted their hold and secure protocols.

RCMP is asking residents to avoid the area of Main Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenue as the investigation continues.  

Contents within the package haven’t been identified at this time. Saskatchewan RCMP’s Explosive Disposal Unit are assisting with the investigation.
