Strathmore schools under hold and secure due to criminal activity

Strathmore High School, Holy Cross Collegiate, and several other schools were placed under a hold and secure on the morning of Wednesday, May 28.

According to school staff, RCMP advised administration of criminal activity in the area, and the school implemented emergency protocols as a precaution.

"Please be assured that all students are safe," wrote staff from Holy Cross in an email sent to parents.

Nobody was allowed to enter or exit the buildings during the hold and secure, which was lifted soon after it was implemented as the police investigation continued.
