Jeff and Marie Seida (middle), May's 'Notoriously Good Neighbours'
Categories

The kind-hearted, generous, and friendly people of Moose Jaw are recognized every month as 'Notoriously Good Neighbours' by the City of Moose Jaw and the Moose Jaw & District Chamber of Commerce and given a token of gratitude for their positive contributions to our community.

This month, Marie and Jeff Seida are being recognized for embodying the values for which the award was created.

The Seidas were nominated by Amie Dormer, who describes them as friendly and always willing to lend a hand and said, "Whether it's letting us know our garage was left open, picking up our garbage that spilled over in a windstorm, or lending me muffin tins and eggs when I'm in the middle of a recipe.”

Dormer said that she couldn't ask for better neighbours, adding that the Seidas go the extra mile for her son, making sure to include him in their acts of kindness and generosity.

"They have colored lights on their house, and they put green on for the entire month of February because that's my four-year-old son's favorite color and February is his birthday month,” said Dormer. “They always have a special gift for him for Halloween so that he has a big gift when he Trick or Treats."

As official 'Notoriously Good Neighbours', the Seidas were presented gift certificates for the Tunnels of Moose Jaw, in appreciation for their contributions to the community.

If you would like to nominate a 'Notoriously Good Neighbour' of your own, you can do so by using the Report an Issue feature on moosejaw.ca or through the City of Moose Jaw app. You can view the City's "Notorious Nine — Nine Ways to Be a Notoriously Good Neighbour" here.
