The East Central 18UAAA Red Sox picked up a pair of wins at home, besting the South East Twins in their Saturday double header.

Pryor Dyck had a strong showing on the mound for the Red Sox with seven full innings giving up only four hits and a single run in the 5-1 opener.

The Red Sox got it going in the first with a single by Graydn Wilson and a double to centre by Jarret Rude, each knocking in one on their way to the win. An error in the second resulted in a 3-0 score.

In the third inning, Jacob Tran laced a single driving in one more to advance the cause, and Cade Britz deft stealing put him in position to score.

In the second game, the Sox exploded to an early six run lead but had to fend off a late game surge by the twins to hang on for an 8-6 win.

Tyson Hardy launched a single run home to open the Twins scoring in the first, but singles by Cade Armstong, Blake Morelli and Pryor Dyck propelled the Sox to the lead.

Another four runs came in for the Sox in the second courtesy of home runs by Armstrong and Jarret Rude.

The Twins rallied in the third and fourth, but the Sox went on lockdown mode to squeeze out the win.

The Red Sox take to the road this weekend heading to Yorkton to face the Parkland Expos, then home on Sunday for a double header against the Swift Current 57s.
