The 903 Strathmore Air Cadets celebrated their 25th anniversary over the weekend.

On Saturday (May 31), the cadets were at Carseland Community Hall for an award ceremony alongside their final parade of the year.

Several cadets were recognized during the event, including:

  • Kaylee Graham, who received the Top Instructor Leadership award.
  • Connor Stuart-Berry, who was promoted to Warrant Officer First Class.
  • Brett Young, who received the Lord Strathcona Medal and the Top Cadet Overall award.

Graham was also celebrating her retirement from the program, with Stuart-Berry taking over her position.

After the awards ceremony, cadets and their families were invited inside of the community hall for a roast beef dinner and dance. There was also a raffle to take part in, and several books showing the history of the cadets in Strathmore

The parade marks the end of the year for the cadets, with several former members attending the event to celebrate the milestone.
