Airdrie will host several soccer teams for the remainder of this week, with the Summit Cup returning tomorrow.

Lauren Dunlop-Dorgan, the Operations Director with Airdrie Soccer, shared some details about the big tournament.

"The cup runs from June 5 to 8. We have kids, from U10 age to U19 age, and tiers one through four."

She shared that the tournament will be using 10 locations and 21 fields throughout the entire city.

"It's one of the biggest tournaments of all sports, actually, in the province, with 235 teams coming this weekend."

Dunlop-Dorgan explained that all players and coaches will be staying at hotels in Airdrie and Calgary, while eating and shopping at local stores and restaurants.

"We'll have some food trucks on site. We're going to do some skills competitions for the players, it is going to be a busy weekend."

23 different Airdrie teams will be competing in the cup.

"If anyone wants to come cheer them on, I think that would be fun."
