On May 29, 2025, Fairview RCMP, with assistance from the community and RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, located and arrested Jesse William Jackson. Jackson had outstanding warrants out of Fairview for the following:
- Flight from Police
- Dangerous Operation
- Drive while Prohibited (x2)
Jackson was also subsequently charged with:
- Drive while prohibited
- Fail to Comply With Release conditions
- Drive Uninsured Motor Vehicle
- Operate Motor Vehicle with out subsisting certificate of Registration
- Knowingly operate Motor Vehicle with cancelled/Suspended Registration
After a Judicial Interim Release Hearing, Jackson was remanded to attend Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River on June 2, 2025.
As well, during the course of this investigation, Richard John Strong was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Peace River for the following:
- Assault While Choking
- Theft under $5000
- Fail to Attend Court
After a Judicial Interim Release Hearing, Strong was released to attend Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River on June 9, 2025.
RCMP also recovered 1 stolen vehicle and 2 firearms were also seized, 1 of which was prohibited by being altered.
