Bystanders rush to help in fatal ATV rollover near Saskatchewan border

A 63-year-old man is dead after his all-terrain vehicle flipped on the highway over the weekend. 

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Highway 482, one kilometre west of Dropmore. 

Several bystanders had stopped to help the seriously injured man until paramedics arrived at the scene. 

The driver was transported to hospital via ambulance and then life-flighted by STARS to Winnipeg, where he died of his injuries. 

He was not wearing a helmet.

Russell RCMP continue to investigate.
