Teen injured in motorcycle crash in Steinbach

Steinbach RCMP say a teenager suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a motorcycle crash Saturday night.

Police were called to the single vehicle crash at 11:10 pm, along Highway 52 near the Highway 12 intersection. The 17-year-old male was taken to hospital. Again, police say he had non-life-threatening injuries.

According to Steinbach RCMP, earlier in the evening, the same motorcycle failed to stop for police, and charges are being contemplated.

Meanwhile, Steinbach RCMP received 82 calls for service over the weekend.

Police say there were 14 charges issued under the Highway Traffic Act. This includes five charges for speeding and three for unnecessary noise.
