Two men from Fort Alexander have been arrested following a break and enter at a business in Lac Du Bonnet early Thursday morning. 

According to RCMP, officers responded at around 5 a.m. on May 29 to a break and enter in progress on Minnewawa Street. As police arrived, they saw a Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) speeding away from the business property. 

Officers followed the UTV until it came to a sudden stop, allowing police to arrest two male suspects without incident. 

Further investigation determined that the UTV had been stolen from the business. Police also recovered additional stolen items scattered nearby. The total value of the stolen property exceeds $27,000. 

Anthony Alexander, 26, and Alexander Canard, 40, are facing several charges including break and enter, theft over $5,000, flight from police, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. Both have been remanded in custody. 

Lac Du Bonnet RCMP continue to investigate.
