The Humboldt Vintage Club is revving up for another highly anticipated edition of its annual Show and Shine event, promising a larger and more exciting format than ever before. The event goes this Sunday, June 8 from 11 am to 3 pm at the Humboldt Vintage Club just south of Humboldt on Highway 5.
“We're quite excited,” said Les Hilgers of the Humboldt Vintage Club. “We’ve expanded this year. There will be semis again, a motorbike class, and lots of unique vehicles that you just don’t see every day.”
Organizers are hoping to host up to 125 entries, a number that may stretch beyond the club’s compound.
“We’re prepared to accommodate a wide range of vehicles, and there’s lots to look at when you're out here,” Hilgers noted.
The event isn’t just about cars. In addition to the wide variety of vehicles on display, the day will feature family-friendly attractions including face painting, a silent auction table, and a crowd-favorite mini steam engine giving rides to children throughout the day. There will also be a 50/50 draw and a beef raffle.
“We really want it to be a fun day for everyone,” said Hilgers. “There’s an appraiser on site, activities for the kids, and for those interested in history, our museum will be open with access to multiple sheds full of vintage tractors and equipment—including some new additions.”
Admission to the event is free, and no pre-registration is required for participants.
“Just pull up,” said Hilgers. “Registration is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and it's a free day for families to enjoy.”
Organizers also welcome new members to support the growing displays and family-friendly programming.
And for those wondering—yes, the club’s famous “elephant” will be there too.
