There was some live music outside of the Vault Cultural Collective in Strathmore on Wednesday (June 4).

The music was performed as part of Seniors Week, which celebrates and honours the older adults in the community.

The music was performed by Ken Stobbe, who works alongside local seniors.

"I play at Wheatland Lodge on a regular basis. I play at an extended care home in Calgary. I play wherever somebody wants music," said Stobbe. "It's mostly from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. The good stuff."

Stobbe said he loves bringing music to the community wherever he goes.

"For me, the most rewarding thing is playing in a nursing home. It lifts their spirits and brings something out in them that's so rewarding, so we're giving back to the community."

Stobbe's performance is just one of many events going on for Seniors Week at the Vault.
