Carseland School will have a new principal this fall.
On Monday (June 2) Golden Hills School Division (GHSD) announced that Adam Baxter would be taking up the position of acting principal for the 2025/26 school year.
Baxter is currently the vice principal of Westmount School. Before that, he was a teacher at Wheatland Crossing School. He has been working with GHSD for over a decade.
"We feel that his commitment to teaching, building positive student and family relationships, as well as his student-centered approach, will serve him well in his continued administrative role," wrote GHSD on social media.
Baxter holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. After that he achieved his Master of Education, Educational Research - Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Calgary.
