The 57th Diamond Valley Parade and Festival runs all day this Saturday.
It will follow the new route that was used last year, and everything starts with the pancake breakfast fundraiser, said the Town of Diamond Valley's Events Coordinator, Loralee Bean.
"Starting at 8:30, the Oilfields High School's basketball team is having a pancake breakfast at the high school until they're sold out. Once they're sold out, that's it, then the parade itself starts at 10 a.m. on the Black Diamond side of town. So, the parade route changed last year, and we are keeping that new route, so it's just off the main highway."
Once the parade is over, Millennium Park on the Turner Valley side opens.
"Then we head over to Turner Valley for the festival and market that goes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.," Bean explained and then shared some of what you can expect.
"We're supplying the bounce houses, and painting, and a petting zoo, but then the Oilfields Curling Club are going to have an inflatable curling rink, the Foothills Archery Club is doing archery, and Moe's Animal Rescue - they're going to be having an adoption with puppies set up."
The Sheep River Library also has its annual book sale, which is its largest fundraiser of the year. Then there's the Sheep Creek Art Council hosting a quilt show and bake sale. Wild Rose Community Connections will also have lots of games set up for kids to play.
You can also expect food trucks, and the Foothills Lions Club will be hosting their well-loved barbecue.
