The Moose Jaw Miller Express picked up their second straight win, defeating the Weyburn Beavers 6–4 on Wednesday night. The win improves their record to 2–3.

Moose Jaw got on the board early. William Edwards hit a sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning that scored Thomas Soto.

In the top of the third, Austin Gurney hit a double that scored Edwards from second base to give the Miller Express a 2–0 lead.

Soto then hit a single in the top of the fifth inning to drive home Diego Canuelas, and Edwards followed with a single to score Ben Waliczek, putting Moose Jaw up 4–0. Weyburn responded in the bottom half of the inning with three runs to cut the lead to one.

A single by Waliczek in the top of the sixth drove in a pair of runs. Eduardo Saenz scored on the hit, and Tanner DeGrazia crossed the plate on an error.

Weyburn managed one more run in the bottom of the eighth, but the Miller Express held on for the 6–4 win.

Jordan Bauer earned the win on the mound for Moose Jaw, while Cristian Garcia picked up the save.

The Miller Express will look to make it three in a row when they host the Medicine Hat Mavericks at Ross Wells Park tonight at 7:05 p.m.
