Police are warning the public not to approach a man wanted for murder, who may be armed and is considered dangerous.
The Winnipeg Police Service says a Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder has been issued for 33-year-old Paul Xavier Bonnick.
He is accused in the death of 39-year-old Ralph Moise, who was found seriously injured in the 300 block of Cumberland Avenue on May 23 around 1 a.m.
Officers with Central District General Patrol located Moise on the ground suffering from upper-body injuries.
They administered emergency medical care, including the use of chest seals, before paramedics transported him to hospital. He later died from his injuries.
Moise was from Tadoule Lake and a member of the Sayisi Dene First Nation, in Northern Manitoba.
Bonnick is considered dangerous and may be armed, police said. Members of the public are urged not to approach him.
