After beating them 7-2 Saturday night the Moose Jaw Miller Express suffered a 10-2 loss to the visiting Brooks Bombers yesterday at Ross Wells Park.
Pitcher Skylar Sievert was the difference, working 6 scoreless innings while giving up just 3 hits and striking out 4.
The Millers, now 4 and 5, will play the Beavers in Weyburn tomorrow night.
In other Western Canadian Baseball League action yesterday, Regina Red Sox beat Fort McMurray 7-4, Medicine Hat topped Weyburn 11-5 and the Swift Current 57's won their first game of the season, 7-6 over Saskatoon.
Moose Jaw's Central Cyclones won their 4th straight 4-A Provincial Track and Field championship on the weekend at Gutheridge Field, winning 6 gold medals along with two silver and two bronze. Katherine Rogers won gold in the senior girls' 1500- and 3000-meter races. Calum Seargeant also won two golds.
The Peacock Tornadoes' spring football camp starts today and continues through Friday. Last season, the Tornadoes finished fourth in the league with a 3 and 4 record.
The Stanley Cup final resumes tonight in south Florida with the Oilers and Panthers tied at a win apiece.
