On May 15, 2025, around 3:21 p.m., Grande Prairie RCMP responded to a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle on the street crossing near Northwestern Polytechnic. The vehicle, described as a white SUV, possible a Ford Edge, failed to stop and proceeded Southbound on 108 street after turning right from 104 avenue. The pedestrian suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result. A picture of the vehicle was acquired.

Grande Prairie RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in acquiring dashcam or other video footage that may have captured the incident or the licence plate of the vehicle. Anyone with footage of the area around Northwestern Polytechnic and the corner of 108 street and 104 avenue, as well as the surrounding area, on May 15, 2025, between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., is asked to please review their footage and submit anything of interest.
