The semi truck appears to be a total loss, but Miami Fire and Rescue was able to prevent any additional damage during a call out Monday afternoon. According to a social media post, the department responded to the vehicle fire call on a rural property shortly after 2pm.

Upon arrival, it was determined a semi attached to a tri-axle grain trailer had caught fire. The home owners noticed the blaze, and were spraying water on it with a garden hose in an attempt to suppress the flames until firefighters arrived.

The fire was extinguished quickly and the crew was able to prevent damage past the fifth wheel plate.

No injuries were reported.
