On Tuesday, Grade 4 students from Weyburn and the surrounding area converged at the Weyburn Exhibition Hall to learn more about agriculture safety with the Progressive Agriculture's Ag Safety Day.
Hosted by the Weyburn Agricultural Society, a variety of different interactive booths were set up around the hall, teaching many different aspects of agricultural safety from electrical safety, railway safety, equipment safety, grain safety, lawnmower safety, and many more.
The annual event hopes to inspire kids to bring some safety tips they learn back to the farm to help ensure that no one gets injured and that no matter how hard the work is, the work needs to be done safely.
Kids who attended the event were also provided snacks, a t-shirt and a 'goody-bag' to take home.
