Four people from the Pembina Valley were involved in a fatal two-vehicle crash in southwest Manitoba late Monday afternoon.
    
According to RCMP, an SUV travelling west on PR 257 in the R.M. of Wallace-Woodworth stopped at a stop sign as it approached Highway 83. It then proceeded across the highway when it was struck on the rear driver's side by a truck.
    
A 68-year-old woman from Quebec in the SUV was pronounced deceased on scene, while the 45-year-old female driver, from Saskatchewan, and two other occupants also from Quebec, aged 20, and 47, were all taken to hospital where they remain in stable condition.
    
The driver of the truck, a 31-year-old man from Plum Coulee, and two male passengers - a 26-year-old from the R.M. of Stanley and a 52-year-old from Altona did not sustain any major physical injuries. 
    
A 19-year-old male passenger from Winkler was taken to hospital with a serious injury.
    
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the collision.
    
Investigation continues.
