UNITY, Sask. — RCMP are investigating a number of incidents reported in the Unity area between June 4 and June 9, including a business break-in and the theft of a debit card.

Mounties say the break and enter occurred at a local business, though further details have not been released. The investigation remains ongoing.

Police are also looking into a report of a stolen debit card, while a separate complaint of vehicle theft was determined to be unfounded.

Officers responded to a complaint of assault and another of fraud, though both matters remain under investigation due to insufficient evidence.

A report of uttering threats was also filed, but RCMP said there was not enough evidence to proceed.

CN Police reported a broken railway crossing gate, which was logged for information purposes.

In addition to criminal investigations, officers handled four traffic complaints and responded to one false alarm.

RCMP encourage anyone with information related to crimes in the Unity, Wilkie or Macklin areas to contact their local detachment.
