The Kindersley Jr Klippers added some strong talent to their prospect pool during Tuesday's 2025 SJHL Draft.

Making a splash before the draft even began, the Klippers completed a trade with Estevan to gain an early pick. After trading their first pick to La Ronge during the season in the Mason Bueckert trade, the Klippers acquired the third overall pick of the 2010 born players round, sending the Bruins the fifth overall pick in the 2009 players' portion.

With their newly minted #3 overall pick, Kindersley selected forward Bronx Becker out of Saskatoon.

The Saskatoon native is coming off a terrific season with the Saskatoon Outlaws U15 AA team putting up 47 points (21 goals, 26 assists) in 29 games played. Becker is set to play AAA with the Saskatoon Contacts after logging four games last season and was also an eighth-round pick by the Red Deer Rebels in the 2025 WHL Draft.

The Klippers next pick took them to southwest Saskatchewan with the selection of Maple Creek native, Finn Gustafson, who also got some experience at the AAA level this past season with the Swift Current Legionnaires. Gustafson scored a goal in his two games with the big club, and during his season with the Broncos U15 AA team had 33 points in 27 games and another five points five playoff games.

The war room was quiet entering the 2009 players' draft with the Klippers not owning a pick until the third round. When they did hit the draft clock, it was for back-to-back picks, as the Klippers selected both Rocanville native Hogan Hickman and Outlook connected defenseman Noah Gibson from the Prairie Hockey Academy U17 Prep team.

The Klippers next two selections came in the fourth-round with the pick of forward Dawson Gamble from the Battlefords Stars AAA team, and forward Jackson Squires who played AA and AAA in Swift Current over the past few seasons. After that the Klippers took defenseman and Lucky Lake native Jake Hargrave, another member of the Swift Current Legionnaires, joining Gibson as a West Central native picked by the Klippers.

With their final selection the Klippers took forward Sam Failler from Dundurn. Taking a flier on Failler, he played last season with the Warman Wildcats U18 AAA team logging 21 points in 42 games (7 goals, 14 assists), and also played four games with the WHL's Regina Pats.

History was made during the draft as the Warman Wolverines made their first draft pick in franchise history, selecting Camryn Aebig first overall. Find the complete list of picks from the 2025 SJHL Draft HERE.
