Eatonia, Saskatchewan's own Dakota Buttar put on a good performance for bull riding fans out east this past weekend, winning the sold-out Canada Cup Series’ London Classic with a perfect showing.

Buttar went 3-3 in front of the sold-out crowd and took back the No. 1 rank in the PBR Canada standings in the process. He finished with 265 points on the night after a scores of 88.5, 87.5, and a final event total of 89 to take home 150 series points and $14,000 in winnings.

At 13 rides on 18 attempts on the year Buttar is carrying a ride percentage of 72.22 following the latest event, tops for riders with at least 9 events. The win put Buttar 100 points ahead of second place Jake Gardner, who has competed in 15 events, and took a surprising goose-egg in the points column over the weekend.

Buttar is once again chasing history this season. If he can win the 2025 Canadian Championship, he will tie fellow Saskatchewan rider Aaron Roy for the most national titles for one rider at three apiece and claim the accompanying $100,000 bonus for the top spot.

The bull riding action is staying out east with the PBR Ottawa Classic on Saturday. After that the cup series takes a month off ahead of their next event July 17 in BC, with a busy touring pro division schedule in the meantime that you can see HERE.
