After having the original home opener postponed due to smoke, Thursday marked the first home game for the club and it was worth the wait, as they defeated FCNW Nex Gen 9-0.

It didn't take long before the Kickers were celebrating a goal when AliRezza Hosseini hit it to corner to put Hanover up 1-0.

The lead would grow just 3 minutes later, again by AliRezza, who took a corner kick and curled it into the goal.

Pushing the score to 3-0 thanks to Derek Bergen in the 10th minute from a great give and go from Braxton Phommorath and he rifled it in top corner.

At the 25th minute mark striker Zach Friesen potted one from a through ball from our captain, Noah Froese, and blasted a shot that hit the keeper, but ricochet in.

Honover's 5th goal was slotted in the far corner by Mitchell Martens from a a great individual effort, at the 40th minute. We ended the first half leading 5-0.

The 2nd half started with Issac Thiessen continuing the scoring at roughly the 55th minute from a brilliant pass from Zac Friesen at the top of the box and fired it short side after Noah Froese won the ball in the middle of the field to get the play started.

Issac followed up 5 minutes later and scored Hanover's 7th goal from a hard run up the wing and beating his defender, to get one on one with the keeper and slotted that in far side.

Noah Froese continued the goal parade by winning the ball on the edge of the box and played a great give and go play with Isaac and shot a one-timer past the keeper.

The 9th and final goal was again scored by Noah Froese after receiving a great pass from AliRezza, then after beating two defenders and the goalie, finished it off with a simple pass into the side net of the goal.

"This was certainly our most complete game," Brian Froese stated after the contest. "Although we feel we had mistakes that would have certainly had other outcomes with stronger teams, we felt this was a huge confidence booster for a group that is still learning to play with each other."
