Westmount School getting new vice principal

Westmount School will be getting a new vice principal in the 2025-26 school year.

Earlier this month Golden Hills School Division (GHSD) announced that Rachel Cool would be taking up the acting position.

"Rachel holds a Bachelor of Education Degree from Mount Royal University and a Master of Education with a specialization in Educational Research, Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Calgary," wrote GHSD.

Cool has worked as a teacher with Crowther Memorial Junior High School and has also worked as an instructional coach.

"Her commitment to fostering a positive school culture of collaboration, high expectations, and meaningful support for both students and staff will serve her well in her new administrative role," added GHSD. 

Cool will begin her new position in the fall.
