Whether you’re itching to swing a golf club, pick up a crochet hook or test your luck at the slots, Biggar has a little something for everyone this summer.
The town’s calendar is packed with events heading into late June, beginning with the Biggar Golf Club’s Par 3 Tournament on June 20. That same day, the Family Centre will host its regular Teen Group gathering, followed by a Clothing Exchange on June 21 and Sign Language Classes on June 23.
A major highlight on the horizon is Biggar Ag Days, running June 28 and 29, alongside the Red, White & Gold Slot Race and Jackpot, promising a full weekend of fun and competition. Rounding out the month is the Family Centre’s Adult Craft Club on June 29.
In addition to the special events, Biggar continues to offer a range of recurring community activities:
-
Sundays: Pickleball from 1–3 p.m. at Biggar Central School.
-
Mondays: Fire practice at 7 p.m. and a variety of exercise and social programs through New Horizons and the Town Hall.
-
Tuesdays to Fridays: The week is filled with cards, bowling, stitching, quilting, and archiving, among other community-driven gatherings.
