Field Stone Fruit Wines is reopening its doors with a grand celebration.
The fruit winery will host a grand reopening event at the orchard on Saturday (June 21) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Guests can enjoy free wine tastings, specialty cocktails and mocktails. The event will also feature live music by local musician Jim Baxter, tacos from Tiyos Mexican Cravings, and desserts from Lannerdz Cookies.
The winery's events are family-friendly and pet-friendly.
"It's an opportunity for people to come out and enjoy their stay," said Laura Atherton, who is taking on the new role of owner as the previous owners step into retirement.
Field Stone Fruit Wines has been in operation for 25 years and was one of the first estate wineries in Alberta.
"The biggest thing that we want people to know is that we are open for guests," Atherton added. "We want to share our space."
The business will now be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Future plans for the business include charity fundraisers, hiking trails, and potential winter programs.
"We just really want to support the community by having another opportunity and space for families to come and have some fun this season," said Atherton.
Bumbleberry is the winery's signature wine.
