We're getting so much rain this weekend, Environment Canada issued a Special Weather Statement on Thursday morning at 4:40.
They say the Foothills area is expected to receive between 50 and 100 mm of rain by Sunday afternoon; however, closer to the Rockies, you can expect between 100 and 200 mm.
The rain will start tomorrow, and the temperature's expected to drop by Friday afternoon.
Up in the mountains, you can expect snow, with upwards of 10 to 20 cm expected at the Highwood Pass.
The Highwood Pass reopens to traffic on Saturday, and the gate at Highway 40 and Highway 940 reopens Saturday too, after being closed for an extra week due to the G7 Summit in Kananaskis.
A strong northerly wind is also expected on Saturday, gusting between 60-80 km/h.
