Voters in Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills can now vote for their next MLA.

The by-election was triggered after former MLA and Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Nathan Cooper resigned.

Voting opened on June 17 and will run until June 21.

Currently, four candidates are vying for the position.

  • Tara Sawyer: United Conservative Party (UCP)
  • Beverley Toews: New Democratic Party (NDP)
  • Cameron Davies: Republican Party (RPA)
  • Bill Tufts: Wildrose Loyalty Coalition (WLC)

The riding is seen as strongly Conservative as residents in the 2023 general election voted 75 per cent for the UCP.

If you can't vote during advanced voting, you can mark your ballot on June 23.

Edmonton-Strathcona and Edmonton-Ellerslie will also be going to the polls on the same day to pick a new MLA.
