The Moose Jaw Miller Express’s win streak is now at four games after a 10–4 victory over the Swift Current 57s on Thursday night.

Moose Jaw jumped out to a 6–0 lead after three and a half innings.

In the first inning, Thomas Soto opened the scoring with a solo home run. Eduardo Saenz followed with a solo shot of his own. Diego Canuelas drew a walk with the bases loaded, bringing Tanner DeGrazia home from third to make it 3–0.

The Miller Express added two more runs in the top of the third. Abe Ahlberg walked to bring in Saenz, and Ben Waliczek hit a sacrifice fly to centre field to score DeGrazia.

William Edwards crossed the plate on a wild pitch in the top of the fourth to extend the lead to 6–0. Swift Current responded in the bottom half of the inning with an unearned run.

The 57s added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth to cut Moose Jaw’s lead in half, 6–3. The teams exchanged runs in the sixth, with Saenz hitting a sacrifice fly to centre to score Austin Gurney.

The Miller Express finished strong, scoring once in the eighth and twice in the ninth. Edwards scored in the eighth on a catcher’s error.

In the ninth, Soto hit a double to centre field, driving in Jackson Martin and Waliczek.

Rodolfo Guardiola earned the win on the mound, pitching five innings. He allowed four hits, three runs and struck out three.

The Miller Express look to keep their streak alive this weekend. They host the Swift Current 57s on Friday night at 7:05 p.m., then travel to Medicine Hat for games against the Mavericks on Saturday and Sunday.
