Debbie married Jack Jestin on August 28, 1976, and together they had two daughters - Tasha Dawn and Jodi Lynne. While raising their girls Deb commuted to Melfort part-time working in the health care profession. In 1979 the family moved from Naicam to Nipawin. Then in 1982, they moved to Saskatoon where Debbie was employed in Saskatoon as a Health Care Aide at St. Ann’s Senior Village. She enjoyed caring for the senior residents and made many special friendships. In her spare time, she enjoyed various activities in the city such as bowling, bingo, coffee and crafting with friends. A move to Davidson occurred in 1987 where Debbie started working at the elementary school as an Educational Assistant and she fell in love with the children, education and her coworkers. In Davidson, Debbie was a member of the CWL, a Catechist Coordinator, led 4-H, and she loved having tea with her girlfriends. After retirement from the Davidson School, Debbie moved back to Naicam where she and Jack enjoyed thrifting, gardening, crafts and travelling to see their two granddaughters.
