Flags at the Strathmore will be at half-mast from sunrise to sunset on Monday (June 23).
The flags have been lowered to honour the National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism.
"The National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism was proclaimed in 2005 and first observed on June 23, 2005, in memory of those who have lost their lives through acts of terror in Canada and around the world," wrote the Town of Strathmore through social media.
The date coincides with the day of the Air India Flight 182 tragedy in 1985, when a passenger plane was blown up over the Atlantic Ocean. The plane was destroyed by terrorists, killing all 329 people on board.
"Please join us as we pause to remember every Canadian whose life was cut short or forever changed by a terrorist attack," added the town.
Of the 329 people killed on Air India Flight 182, 280 of them were Canadians.
