It was a busy night in the Western Canadian Baseball League. The Moose Jaw Miller Express fell to the Gulls in Sylvan Lake 1–9 yesterday. The Millers return to Gulls Stadium for game two of their series this evening at 7.
Last night, the Saskatoon Berries went 10–4 over the Regina Red Sox, and the Swift Current 57's fell 4–2 to Fort MacMurray.
Over to Rambler Park fastball, the Moose Jaw Giants will be in action this evening, taking on the Highway 22 Cowboys, and the Moose Jaw Canadians battle the Earl Grey Rockets in the late game.
In the WHL, a new general manager has been named for the Regina Pats.
The Pats have named the team's all-time leading scorer and most recently, assistant GM, Dale Derkatch as their new general manager.
Derkatch replaces Alan Millar, who is leaving his role to join Hockey Canada. Millar also spent time as the Moose Jaw Warriors general manager from 2012 to 2021.
