The Moose Jaw Miller Express's losing streak was extended to three games after dropping a 9-1 decision on the road against the Sylvan Lake Gulls on Tuesday night.
Moose Jaw's lone run came in the top of the first inning. William Edwards hit a double to score Thomas Soto from third base.
Sylvan Lake would tie up the game in the bottom of the first before scoring eight unanswered runs.
A strong performance by the Gulls' pitching staff allowed only four Moose Jaw hits in the entire game.
The Miller Express dropped their record to 10-11 and sit in fourth place in the East Division. They sit a game and a half back of the Regina Red Sox for third place and eight games back of the Saskatoon Berries for first.
Moose Jaw wraps up their two-game series in Sylvan Lake against the Gulls on Wednesday night before heading to Spruce Grove to take on the Energy City Cactus Rats on Thursday. The Alberta road trip continues in Fort McMurray on Friday to take on the Giants.
