Saskatchewan’s provincial parks are set to host a variety of special events and programs over the next two weeks, offering something for all ages as part of the “Discover Sask Parks” initiative running from June 25 to July 9.
Visitors can enjoy classic summer activities such as camping, hiking, and swimming, along with a wide range of free events included with a valid Park Entry Permit.
Canada Day celebrations on July 1 will take place at many provincial parks, where park interpreters will host family activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day’s offerings include lawn games, crafts, scavenger hunts and treats, with festivities taking place under the open skies at various park locations.
Live entertainment also takes centre stage with the return of SaskExpress, presenting their musical theatre performance Lost in a Musical as part of a five-park tour. Before each evening show, families are invited to take part in a Workshop in the Park, learning a song and dance to perform with the cast.
