Hospital lab visits just got easier for Humboldt and area residents with the launch of a new online booking system starting August 12.
“Residents in Humboldt and area will now be able to book their lab appointments online using the SHA Patient Booking System,” said Shaun Halford, Laboratory Supervisor for Humboldt and Area.
“The online booking system allows people to book their appointment at any time of day, from anywhere with internet access.”
The new system is designed to streamline the appointment process, giving patients greater control over when they visit the lab. “Booking online is the fastest way to ensure you get the time and date that works best for you. It also helps reduce wait times and improves workflow in the lab, which benefits everyone.”
To use the system, patients will need a valid health card and either a cellphone number or email address. Those who are unable to book online can still call the patient booking line at 1-833-727-5829 between 8:45 a.m. and 4:45 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays).
“Posters will be displayed in the community and at the Humboldt District Health Complex with a QR code you can scan with your mobile device, or you can visit www.saskhealthauthority.ca to book your lab appointment.".
The Saskatchewan Health Authority encourages all eligible patients in the Humboldt area to take advantage of this new service beginning August 12. Walk-ins will still be welcome; however, appointments will take priority.
