After careers that included minor ball in Portage and a professional stint in Winnipeg, the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame saw fit to recognize the Dahl brothers, Matt and Lindsey, with an induction as individuals, but together.

The twins grew up in Portage and played minor baseball in the community before also playing

"It was a very nice evening. It was a humbling event for me. There was a lot of history included at the event, at the dinner, a lot of people that I've played with and a lot of people that have coached me. It was a nice evening, and a very humbling experience."

Matt adds that, although he has coached in recent history, he's currently enjoying taking a break from that at the moment.

"In the past, I've coached my daughter's softball and my son's baseball for a number of years. The last two summers, I've taken a break from coaching, but I've been involved with the winter baseball program out of the Home Run Training Centre in Winnipeg, where my son was playing. So, I help coach that program, and that's the most involvement. Now I get to sit back a little bit and get to just watch my kids play ball now."

Dahl reflects on the accomplishment, adding that there is plenty of credit to his brother for helping him improve.

"It was great to be able to be inducted with my brother in the same year. I think we both made each other better ballplayers through our lives and helped us get to where we're at. Many great teammates along the the years and great coaches have had a hand in reaching the level that we did. And it's just nice to be included and have a small piece of Manitoba baseball history in being recognized."
